Shoaib Alam is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 3 years of experience in Python Automation Testing in the storage domain. He is currently working as a Software Engr II at HPE, where he is responsible for working on the CISCO UCS project, which involves OS compatibility testing on multiple Cisco servers of different generations with multiple adapters like Cisco VIC and third-party adapter vendors such as Intel, Qlogic, etc. He has also worked on python automation frameworks to deploy various OSes over a target in the bare-metal server and checking compatibility in the presence of CNA/NIC/HBA/LSI using PXE/DHCP. Shoaib has a strong background in building tools for tasks such as software versioning comparison to identify versioning mismatch, network configuration, and error/misconfiguration detection over the network. He has developed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on Python and has experience in resolving bugs and enhancements in automation frameworks during release execution. Shoaib has a good understanding of SAN/DAS/NAS technologies and has experience in Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and RAID concepts. He also has experience in basic TCP/IP switching concepts, Layer2 and Layer3 protocols, configuring FC/ISCSI on NetApp storage box, Cisco Nexus, and MDS Switches.
