Shoaib Mohammed is a highly experienced technology professional with over 8 years of experience in the IT industry. Currently, he is the Co-Founder and CTO of CustomFit.ai, where he is leading the development of an intelligent hyper-personalization solution for B2B websites. In his role, Shoaib is responsible for defining the product roadmap, making high-level technological decisions, and leading efforts to build the MVP. He also leads a team of 8 engineers, acting as a Scrum Master and driving standups, collecting requirements from product managers, and planning sprints. Shoaib has expertise in designing and developing enterprise/cloud products and is interested in developing high QPS distributed systems that are data-intensive and latency-sensitive. He has a strong background in modelling database design and designing microservices architecture. Shoaib has developed various backend services, including accounts, users, billing, configs, experiences, segmentation, events, event insights, user journeys, and x-rays, that can handle half a billion requests a day. He is also responsible for performance monitoring of backend services and continuous efforts to increase the throughput of the system and decrease infrastructure costs. Prior to his current role, Shoaib co-founded BackBuckle.io, where he built a feature-as-a-service (FaaS) platform that provides a suite of ready-to-use features and micro-services to instantly add to mobile, web, or IoT apps. He also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at BlueJeans, where he was part of the API platform team responsible for designing, building, and scaling the backend API platform. Shoaib holds an MSc Tech degree in Information Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He is proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Cassandra, Redis, GCP, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Salesforce, and more. His skills include senior software engineering, AI, backend development, microservices, infra, search, integration, and more.
