Shobhit Deshwal is a seasoned infrastructure management engineer with over 15 years of relevant experience in systems administration and architectural design of platform-independent private cloud with Kubernetes. He is proficient in DevOps, enterprise and open-source tools and technologies, and has worked with elastic and high-availability business-critical systems and applications. Shobhit has a DevOps approach for automation using Opscode Chef for deployment and configuration and is experienced in fully automated installation of Linux flavors on remote machines. He has also built and maintained repositories for system and application packages and worked with distributed systems such as Cassandra, Riak, and GFS. Using AWS technologies, Shobhit has architected and managed microservices-based architecture with ECS, Docker, Jenkins for CI/CD, S3, RDS, cloud formation, EFS, VPC, and Route 53. Currently, as an Associate Director Engineering at Airtel, he is spearheading the digital transformation into Kubernetes and providing directional strategies for projects rollout for quick customer engagement. Prior to his current role, Shobhit was a Senior Engineering Manager at Airtel and an Associate Vice President at Mobikwik. At Mobikwik, he was responsible for DevOps, getting serious with network and container security, finances, and reach at unprecedented times, and solving complex problems with simple solutions from cloud-native to on-premise. Shobhit holds an M.S. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and an Executive Program in Business Administration and Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He also has a bachelor's degree from St. Francis School, Shamli.
