Shreyan Bakshi is a highly skilled software engineer with a passion for natural language processing (NLP) and deep learning. He is currently working at Meta, where he is involved in developing cutting-edge technologies such as natural language generation, federated learning, and Meta Reality Labs. Shreyan graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Machine Learning. During his time at university, he developed a keen interest in deep learning (language/vision), algorithm design, and mathematics. He enjoys solving complex problems with a purpose and is constantly seeking new challenges. Shreyan has gained valuable experience working as a Teaching Assistant for the Machine Learning Department at Carnegie Mellon University, where he taught modern deep reinforcement learning techniques. He has also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Facebook, where he was involved in developing on-device language models for type-ahead and SmartCompose technologies, as well as efficient implementations of these on the Oculus Quest and Portal. Shreyan's technical skills are extensive and include software engineering, NLP, deep learning, reinforcement learning, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. He is a highly motivated individual with a passion for learning and a strong work ethic. With 3.62 years of relevant experience, Shreyan is a valuable asset to any team.
