Shreyas Amin is an experienced chemical engineer with over 9 years of experience in the oil and gas and base chemicals industry. He holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and a Management diploma. Shreyas's core competencies include process design, optimization, technology improvement, technical support, and operations troubleshooting. He has experience with reforming, hydroprocessing, FCC (naphtha & aromatics in oil & gas sector), ammonia, urea, NPK (base chemicals in the fertilizer sector), and Lean Six Sigma (Greenbelt). Shreyas is currently working as a Process Engineer for Basic Engineering & Project Management at Yara International. He is involved in the 'Plant of the Future' initiative to develop a portfolio of short and long-term technology projects with the aim of zero emissions and low capital & operational costs. He is performing research projects developing new products and processes using lean methodology and scouting for the Best Available Technology (BAT). Shreyas is familiar with the Ammonia, Urea, and NPK process technology and is working on the revamp process design project for the recommissioning of the 150 MTPD R&D Semi-industrial Pilot Plant for industrial proof of concept of the new technologies developed in YTC. He is a YTC Safe by Choice committee member for Yara Sluiskil and was a finalist in the Yara Incubator Program 2018 held in Berlin & Oslo, where he presented the business case for retrofitting the Ammonia reformer with DeNOx. Prior to his current role, Shreyas worked as a Design Engineer (Process/Project) at Honeywell, where he delivered the FEED (Front End Engineering Design) package for greenfield as well as brownfield projects in the refinery and petrochemical industry. He has experience in process engineering design of optimized process simulations, mass and heat balance, PFD, P&ID, hydraulics calculation, instrumentation and process control, equipment sizing, and technology development. Shreyas has a passion for technology entrepreneurship and management and has completed a certificate course in Technology Entrepreneurship and Management from Eindhoven University of Technology. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Shreyas is proficient in vendor document review, feasibility studies, project evaluation, and proposals for revamps. He is a research scientist with experience in frontend development.
