He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science with a Data Science track at Stony Brook University in New York, US. Shreyash has a keen interest in scalable and distributed systems, microservices, machine learning, and computer vision. During his time at Visa Inc. India, Shreyash worked as a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Data Lake and Data Platform team. He was responsible for designing and delivering microservices for Data Lake Controller, which provided a metadata-driven implementation to manage components of Visa Data Platform. He also developed a platform to auto-generate data pipelines and deploy them on Apache Airflow. Shreyash has experience in Java, C, C++, and Python, and is proficient in technologies such as Tensorflow, Pytorch, OpenCV, Spring Boot, Spring Data and Security, MVC, REST APIs, Apache Solr, Elastic Stack, MongoDB, DB2, MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, Tensorflow, Predictive Analytics, Deep Learning, and Neural Networks. Shreyash has end-to-end experience in building Data Lakes and Data Quality platforms. He developed an anomaly detection framework using Holt Winter’s algorithm to detect inconsistencies in aggregated transaction data during his internship at Visa. This framework helped to reduce the percentage of false alerts by 82% compared to previous moving average models.
