Shriganesh Bhat is a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, with over 5 years of experience in the domain of software development. He has extensive hands-on knowledge in building highly scalable, distributed, and automated products using Java, Spring Boot, Scala on Spark, and RESTful Web Services. Currently, he is working as a Lead Software Engineer at Informatica Business Solutions in Bengaluru. Shriganesh has worked on designing and developing a Generic Rest Transformation for Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) Platform. As part of DI, he has offered several hundred different connectors to databases, cloud data lakes, and on-premises and SaaS applications, as well as to any type of data warehouse. He noticed that many external vendors support REST calls to securely access their data. Instead of providing multiple different connectors to connect to each of these endpoints, he proposed a new connector that simply takes Rest Protocol details such as URL, HTTP Method, Authentication Headers, etc., as inputs. This proposal was accepted by higher management and developed as a component to the DI product. Shriganesh has also enhanced the Rest Connector to run on the Spark cluster, which helps to deploy large data integration solutions mappings. He quickly learned Scala on Spark and adapted to that platform to design and enhance the Generic Rest connector. Shriganesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur. He has relevant experience of 6.87 years and has worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at Informatica in the past.
