Shringar Sharan is a self-motivated and relentless learner with a diverse background in infrastructure, chemical, and finance industries. With three years of full-time work experience, he has developed an analytical bent to his problem-solving capabilities. He is currently pursuing an MS in Business Analytics at the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, and will be graduating in May 2021. The program has equipped him with cutting-edge Machine Learning and Data Science techniques that help apply statistical methods to render technical knowledge managerially useful. Shringar is seeking full-time opportunities in the Analytics domain that will allow him to combine his analytical skills with technological expertise to deliver optimized data-driven business decisions. His work experience as a Risk Analyst at the apex risk department of Edelweiss Financial Services encouraged him to think from a business perspective and amalgamate technology prowess with business decision-making. He has assumed the key responsibility of critically evaluating and mitigating potential risks embedded across automated trading strategies and other components of Algorithmic Trading Systems for five business units across the organization. Shringar has worked on various projects, and his portfolio can be found on GitHub. He has experience in applications of Data Mining, Time Series Forecasting, Text Analytics and NLP, Fraud Analytics, Machine Learning and Deep Learning Concepts, Data Visualization & Data Wrangling. He has also worked on projects that involve analyzing large sets of post-trade financial data to gauge the efficacy of trading strategies from a risk perspective. Shringar has a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from DTU and a 10th ICSE degree from St. Joseph's Convent High School. He has relevant experience in Data Scientist, Research Scientist, SQL, ML, Spark, Big Data, Python, Deep Learning, NLP, and infra. Shringar is currently working as a Data Scientist at Happy Money and has previously worked as a Lifetime Honorary Member at Beta Gamma Sigma and a Data Science Volunteer at RMDS Lab.
