Shyamal Pandya is a Technology Security Manager at Accenture with over 19 years of experience in software development. He was introduced to coding in high school and has been enchanted by it ever since. Shyamal has worked as a product development engineer in various roles, which has inculcated in him a customer-first mindset, interfacing with a truly global team, a sense of ownership for the product, developing high-quality testable software, and solving complex customer problems. Shyamal co-founded Peepaal, a community learning initiative where he worked actively with college students, helping them get industry-ready. He has also had an exciting journey in the space of Software as Service development where he has had a chance to work in two different verticals, namely Backup and Security. Shyamal's recent work with Cyber Security Services gave him an opportunity to contribute towards the migration of a hosted service to the AWS platform. He has designed and implemented following the AWS Well Architected Principles, executed migrations of complex software applications to the cloud with minimal disruptions for the customer, designed and implemented multi-cloud deployment, built software with metrics that could be used to measure and alert on the performance of the software, built zero-touch production environments with automated deployments, and designed security-first architectures. In addition to his professional work, Shyamal enjoys trekking the Himalayas and going on road trips to explore the country. Shyamal holds a Master of Computer Science degree from Nowrosjee Wadia College and a Bachelor in Computer Science degree from S.P. College, Pune. He also completed ISC from Rajendra Vidyalaya and ICSE from Church School. Shyamal's tech stack includes AWS and Software Engineer.
