Sidharth Sankar is a highly experienced Director of Engineering with a proven track record of assembling software development teams and building world-class software. With over 24 years of relevant experience, Sidharth is an expert in managing multi-vendor, multi-location, and virtual teams. He specializes in product development, outsourcing, and multi-vendor management. Sidharth is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Soroco, where he partners with Sales/Customer Success to ensure success at all Scout accounts. He manages DevOps and release testing, resolves performance bottlenecks, and builds non-functional requirements. Sidharth has mentored engineers, revamped hiring, and rejigged software engineering processes, resulting in doubled scale of deployments. He has also re-engineered product infrastructure to meet on-prem. infosec. standards. Prior to Soroco, Sidharth worked as the V.P. Engineering & Member, Board of Directors at Cyber Security Works, where he launched the first SaaS product in India and the third in the world to score internet domains on cyber security. He assembled the development organization from the outset and defined and implemented company-wide processes to ensure quality and consistency in service delivery. Sidharth fully leveraged Amazon Web Services to keep team size manageable, costs under budget, and launch fast. Sidharth has also co-founded ZipPay/Pocket Money/Fortune Trail, where he leveraged Agile Methodology, especially Scrum, for Rapid Application Development. He charted and implemented the Product Roadmap, conducted market research, and defined Product Strategy. He launched ZipPay, a Facebook app that enabled payments backed by Silver bullion, PocketMoney, a Facebook eCommerce app to buy and sell Gold and Silver bullion, and Fortune Trail, an Android app that provided curated stock tips from India's top brokers. Sidharth is a PMI-Certified, Project Management Professional, and Sun/Oracle Certified Enterprise Architect. He specializes in Cyber Security, Payment Systems, and Micro-Services Architecture. Sidharth holds an M.S. in Computer Science from The George Washington University.
