Simran Makariye is an MSCS student at NYU-Courant actively seeking summer internships for 2023. With 2.85 years of relevant experience, Simran is an ex-Software Engineer at Qualcomm, where she worked as an Associate Software Engineer and Summer Intern. At Qualcomm, she was part of the location technology team, where she implemented and optimized existing positioning algorithms to provide precise navigation solutions to automotive and mobile-based industries. Simran also optimized the memory utilization of the existing code and worked on code coverage and static analysis using the Parasoft tool to improve the current test suite. She liaised with clients regarding their concerns with the current deliverables. Simran's experience also includes working on a GNSS Multipath Mitigation objective during her Summer Internship at Qualcomm. She performed a comprehensive trade-off study among various robust estimators such as RANSAC, L-meds, and M-estimators to reduce the position error caused by the presence of many outliers. Simran's education history includes a Master's degree in Computer Science from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from NIT Tiruchirappalli.
