Simran Sahni is a highly motivated final year undergraduate student with a passion for pure software development and problem-solving. She is currently working as a Software Engineer Intern at Publicis Sapient, where she has gained experience working on cloud computing technologies like Azure. Simran has also worked as a Summer Intern at Bhaskaracharya Institute for Space Applications and Geoinformatics, where she developed a Java-based dynamic Content Management System (CMS) to retrieve geo-spatial data from a database dynamically and display maps providing flexibility to customize data for a large number of districts or states in admin mode. She used Java, Geoserver, Tomcat Apache, OpenLayers, PostgreSQL, and JSP to develop the system, while the front end was made using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Simran was selected to be a part of the Microsoft Engage 2020 Mentorship Programme, where she learned about AI and web development. She built a path visualizer project on react after learning. Simran has a Dual Degree, B. E in Computer Science + M.Sc Physics from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, where she acquired skills in Software Engineering, Web Development, Azure, AI, Java, Javascript, and Frontend. She has 1.86 years of relevant experience and is open to collaborative projects.
