Siva Adhikarla is an experienced engineering leader with a career spanning over 21 years. He has expertise in software engineering, quality engineering, release management, agile coaching, offering management, design thinking, user experience design, and DevOps. He has a strong track record of using agile methodologies on cloud and containers to deliver successful projects. Currently, Siva is working as an Associate Director at bigbasket, where he is responsible for backend microservices development, quality assurance engineering, and release management. He leads a team of professionals to ensure the smooth functioning of the development process. Prior to his current role, Siva worked as a Senior Engineering Manager at IBM, where he was responsible for the overall delivery of the Developer Analytics platform. He collaborated with PMs and architects to finalize the requirements, created themes out of the use cases, helped the team in breaking them down into epics and stories, managed the overall train planning and sprint planning, unit tested the outcomes of the sprint, and researched new use cases in the developer tools domain. Siva also worked as a Design Practice Leader at IBM Cloud Garage, where he ran workshops using IBM Design Thinking techniques to discover the pain points of the user and converge onto a solution for the prioritized pain points. He worked with partners to develop their idea into a product using IBM BlueMix Garage Methodology. Siva has a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Maths, Physics, and Applied Chemistry from SDS(A) College, Garividi. He is skilled in DevOps, product management, QA, microservices, backend, senior software engineering, test, and research scientist. Overall, Siva is a highly motivated and experienced engineering leader with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. He is passionate about using agile methodologies and design thinking to drive innovation and deliver value to the business.
