Siva VM is a results-focused engineering leader with over 14 years of experience managing and leading teams responsible for quality engineering, DevOps, and development across various industries, including SAAS, e-commerce, and telecom. He has experience in building organizations from the ground up and managing global teams across India, the US, Germany, and Mexico. Siva is an expert in J2EE, NodeJS, Rails, SQL/No-SQL DB technologies, service-oriented architecture, cloud infrastructure, and open-source technologies. He has effectively analyzed the automation needs of teams across organizations and designed and helped teams in implementing various automation frameworks for web UI/mobile and backend services using open-source tools like Rest Assured, Appium, Selenium, testNg, Ham crest, etc. Siva has successfully implemented CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and deployment tools for various projects. He has built a performance testing framework using JMeter and devised a performance strategy that includes distributed load throughput mechanisms with live data and a test strategy for fault tolerance testing. He has enabled Test-Driven Development (TDD) by implementing an automation-first approach for key services and successfully implemented a tool for Lead Time calculation and a strategy and process to reduce Leadtime. Siva has experience in technical architecture design review, development and testing, release planning, monitoring release quality, and tracking KPIs of features released. He has also hired top talent, mentored and developed leadership within the organization, and negotiated and managed vendor contracts. Currently, Siva is the Senior Engineering Manager and Director of Engineering at Freshworks, responsible for the Developer platform, handling a team of 22 engineers across two different locations. He is responsible for handling the app review process for Freshworks Marketplace, quality engineering for the Developer platform, and the Strategic Integration development team. Prior to Freshworks, Siva worked as a Senior Quality Assurance Manager at Amazon and an Engineering Manager at Groupon, where he managed quality engineering teams, performance testing teams, and mobile app development teams. He has an MBA from Icfai University, Dehradun, and is skilled in test, SQL, backend, web, CI/CD, mobile, DevOps, integration, Ansible, Selenium, Jenkins, UI, infra, NodeJS, Ruby, iOS, Android, and product management.
