Sivakumar Haridas is a highly experienced software product development professional with over 12 years of experience in the healthcare domain, identity providers, and network management systems. He is currently working as a Lead Member of Technical Staff and Engineering Manager at Athenahealth's Epocrates, the #1 medical app among U.S. physicians. Sivakumar has extensive experience in implementing SaaS applications with microservices architecture and integrating them with various cloud services. He has also worked on performance analysis and tuning of the system. At Epocrates, Sivakumar has designed and led the team to develop a data pipeline in an event-driven architecture using Amazon managed Kafka, Spring boot, ECS, EC2, Fargate, Lambda, Step functions, SQS, SNS, S3, Micro Services, Oracle, and Docker. He has decommissioned the existing monolithic application in the on-prem environment and designed and developed SaaS applications with microservice architecture for the Epocrates offline content injection process, which was deployed in the ECS cluster using Spring Boot, Swagger, Oracle, Spring JPA, Sprint template, Jenkins, and Docker. Sivakumar has also converted on-prem OnDemand jobs into AWS Fargate jobs for the content ingestion process. He has used Step Functions to combine multiple AWS Fargate into responsive serverless applications without having to write code for workflow logic, parallel processes, error handling, timeouts, or retries. He has also developed the AWS Lambda to trigger AWS Fargate for Adhoc jobs and integrated all microservices with Prometheus and built a Grafana dashboard for monitoring and alerting. Sivakumar has also contributed to a semantic network to provide better and relevant search results and implemented Service-oriented architecture (SOA) for service-to-service communications. He has designed, developed, and maintained custom data ingestion processes for multiple third-party contents.
