Sivaramakrishnan Narayanan is a highly experienced technologist with over 14 years of relevant experience in the field of software engineering. He is currently the Co-founder and CTO at Fyle, a next-generation spend management platform for enterprises. Sivaramakrishnan is responsible for building and maintaining the technology infrastructure at Fyle and has played a crucial role in the development of the platform. Prior to Fyle, Sivaramakrishnan worked at Qubole as a Member of Technical Staff, where he was involved in taming Hadoop and Hive and making them play well in the cloud. He also built out Qubole's Presto as a Service offering with the industry's first and patent-pending auto-scaling Presto clusters. Additionally, he helped out with pre-sales and post-sales activities, including customer presentations, demos, and customer support. Sivaramakrishnan also evangelized Qubole via blogs and talks at conferences and meetups and mentored a small team of Hive and Presto developers. Sivaramakrishnan also worked as a Consultant Software Engineer at EMC Greenplum, where he worked on the Greenplum Parallel Database (GPDB), an analytics platform that worked at petabyte scale. He proposed, designed, and developed core features of extremely high quality in the area of large-scale parallel query processing. He also developed key components of query optimization and workload management in GPDB. Additionally, he published papers at peer-reviewed conferences and filed for nine software patents. Sivaramakrishnan also performed other business-critical tasks, such as providing consultation for proof-of-concept exercises for multi-million dollar deals and resolving customer escalations. Sivaramakrishnan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Engineering (hons) in Computer Science from BITS. He also attended Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School. Sivaramakrishnan's technical skills include Senior Software Engineering, Software Engineering, ML, Hadoop, and Apache Hive.
