Sivashankar Thiyagarajan is a highly experienced Java Engineer with over 16 years of experience in Product Development. He is currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Pine Labs, where he leads the Platform Team for implementing new features and improving overall resiliency. Sivashankar has successfully implemented Business Resiliency for the Switch Platform, which has helped improve the Auth Rate and overall resiliency of the Platform. He has also re-architected the Platform to support Asynchronous Processing and made overall Scalability Improvements by adopting Reactive Processing. Prior to Pine Labs, Sivashankar worked as a Senior Member of Technical Staff/Senior Engineering Manager at PayPal, where he ran the Platform Team for addressing the non-functional requirements of the Issuance and Tokenization Platform. He scaled the Batch Processing Infra to process file-based payloads at constant time and implemented the Tenant Specific Batch Processing for improved throughput and resiliency. Sivashankar also ensured observability of the overall platform with the ability to infer key business metrics across different facets. He also ran the Business Teams for key business initiatives. Sivashankar has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Altimetrik. He holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology and has completed an Executive MBA in Strategic Execution from GLIM. He has also completed a Post Graduate Program in Blockchain Management from Amity University.
