Sivesh Kumar is a seasoned venture capitalist and startup expert with a passion for democratizing the startup and investment ecosystem. With over 7 years of relevant experience, Sivesh has a track record of turning startups into profitable businesses, providing strategic consulting services, and helping entrepreneurs use available resources to generate traction, revenue, and profitability. Sivesh is the founder of StartUp Monk, a platform that brings together all stakeholders of the startup ecosystem to collaborate and create value. He is also the Chief Operating Officer of Mitwatv, where he is responsible for developing and implementing the overall strategy for the company. Sivesh is a mentor to early-stage startups, and he is part of the mentor pool of prestigious institutions such as IIT K, IIT D, IIT B, and IIM R. He is also a jury member of elite incubators, Accelerator Demo Days, and investor pitches. Sivesh believes that the path between idea and making a startup sustainable is the toughest, and he came up with the Startup School to help first-time founders, early-stage entrepreneurs, and students with idea validation, business plans, financial models, legal, fundraising, pitch decks, and more. Sivesh has a rare combination of street smarts and book smarts, having completed the challenge of reading 52 books in 52 weeks in 2019. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and an MBA in Human Resources, and he is a certified photographer and globetrotter. In the past, Sivesh has served as a founding partner of O2 VC Fund, where he was responsible for developing and implementing the overall strategy for the accelerator, identifying and targeting specific industries or technology areas for investment, and working closely with the accelerator's board of directors, mentors, and startups. He has also served as an advisory board member of Induckt Global Venture, where he guided and advised on the creation of business, organization, and capacity development strategies for portfolio startups. Sivesh is a TEDx speaker and keynote speaker at various entrepreneurship events.
