Siying Yang is an accomplished security technologist and engineering leader with over 22 years of experience in the industry. She is currently the VP of Engineering at Netskope, a thought leader in Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), where she leads Data Science, Threat Research, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA), inline Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), next-generation Secure Web Gateway (SWG) and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA). Siying has a deep expertise in Cloud Security, Machine Learning, IoT Security, Fraud Detection, Data Security, Web Application Security, Endpoint Security, Firewall, IPS, SIEM, UEBA, CASB, SWG, SASE, and has co-authored 40+ patents. Prior to joining Netskope, Siying was the VP of Engineering at Forescout Technologies Inc., the global leader of IoT security, where she built the San Jose Engineering team from scratch, including Dev, QA, Security Research, Data Science, Cloud Engineering, and PMO. She also jumpstarted Forescout Device Cloud, expanded device visibility and control platform from campus to data center and public cloud, and created an industry-leading IaaS security solution. Siying was instrumental in delivering 20+ licensable extended modules, integrating with top vendors in every major security category. Forescout went public (Nasdaq: FSCT) on October 27, 2017 and was acquired by Advent for $1.4B in Aug 2020. Siying was also the Sr. Director of Engineering at Shape Security, the industry leader in web app security and fraud detection. She defined the industry's first botwall deflecting automated web and mobile app attacks at near-zero false positive rate, solved initial technical challenges on web page compatibility, and effectively enabled the world's first deployed Moving Target Defense system, with cloud management and data analytics capabilities. Siying recruited half of the 1.0 engineering team, implemented continuous development process, led web and browser security engineering team to deliver predictable feature releases and fast patch releases, and drove early growth from 0 to 10 top-tier customer deployments. Shape was acquired by F5 Networks for $1B on January 24, 2020.
