Skyler Anderson is an Applied Scientist II at Microsoft, currently working in Bing Multimedia - Video Relevance. With a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Penn State University, Skyler has over 3 years of relevant experience in the field of research and development. Prior to joining Microsoft, Skyler worked as a Research Assistant at Penn State University, where he conducted deep learning research as part of the Center for Brain-Inspired Computing Enabling Autonomous Intelligence (C-BRIC), a Semiconductor Research Corporation initiative. His thesis on Adaptive Neural Network Architectures for Power Aware Inference was accepted to IEEE Design & Test, Special Issue: Robust Resource-Constrained Machine Learning. Skyler also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Penn State University, teaching CMPSC 122/132 Intermediate Programming, which included object-oriented programming, recursion, fundamental data structures, the basics of algorithmic analysis, and an introduction to the principles of language translation. Skyler is skilled in various technologies, including Research Scientist, Deep Learning, ML, Neural Networks, Object detection, and Object Detection. He has a strong academic background in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and has worked on several projects related to machine learning and deep learning.
