Smarth Behl is a highly experienced software engineer with almost a decade of experience in the industry. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at Meta, where he is responsible for building ada infra for running complex ML models for video and content understanding that helps in monetization of reels. Smarth is interested in backend, distributed systems, and machine learning, and has a strong command over his technical skills. Before joining Meta, Smarth worked at Microsoft as a Software Engineer. During his tenure, he worked on improving the collaboration experience for PowerPoint Online. His focus was to improve content latency across PowerPoint Online sessions and reduce COGS while doing the same. He also worked on improving the open experience for PowerPoint and creating an alerting framework to track the reliability of core PowerPoint operations like open, save, and merge across different audiences. Smarth has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He has a strong technical background and is skilled in various technologies such as Python, C, and infra. He has also worked on building infra of machine learning-based recommendation systems used for FB shops.
