Smit Shah is the President of the Drone Federation of India, where he is responsible for enabling drone flights in India through policy advocacy and industry partnerships. With a passion for public policy and technology integration, Smit has a history of working in leadership and project management roles for lean businesses. Prior to his current role, Smit worked as an Advisor at CheckApp and as a Software Developer at Germin8. At Germin8, he was a core team member of technology in the Social Intelligence powered customer care product - Trooya, which helps its partners stay connected with their customers for quick engagement using automated workflows for response on Social Media. He also worked on the Social Intelligence powered lead generation product - LeadGen, which helps partners discover customers and acquisition strategies leveraging chatter on Social Media. Smit holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from Dwarkadas J Sanghvi College of Engineering, as well as an H.S.C in Computer Science from Shri T.P. Bhatia College of Science. He also attended Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Vidyalaya for his schooling. In addition to his work in the drone industry, Smit is interested in Health-Tech, Education, and Social Intelligence. He is proficient in integration and software engineering, with 7.52 years of relevant experience.
