Smita Biswas Chakraborty is a seasoned recruiter with almost 9 years of experience in talent acquisition, particularly in technical hiring. Currently working at Info Edge, she is responsible for recruiting for 50+ tech companies such as Airtel, Myntra, Khatabook, Kredx, Expedia, Phonepe, JP Morgan, Dailyhunt, Rivigo, Zupee, Cardekho, and many other startups and product-based companies. Smita is actively involved in leadership hiring and client management, making sure that the recruitment model meets hiring targets optimally and addressing challenges in day-to-day recruiting. Before joining Info Edge, Smita worked as a Talent Acquisition Manager at Impetus, where she managed end-to-end recruitment across levels with multiple skills in IT. She also strategized and planned recruitment events for hiring needs, assessed candidates through competency-based assessments, managed recruitment budgets, and compensation guidelines, and worked closely with senior business leaders in strategizing and planning the recruitment model. Prior to Impetus, Smita worked as an Executive Search Professional- Research Associate at ABC Consultants, where she handled complete recruitment processes in BFSI for middle and senior-level profiles. She also managed clients and provided them with the best candidates through mapping and building relationships in the segment. Smita holds a PGDM in Marketing and International Business from the Asia Pacific Institute of Management and a Bachelor of Technology in EEE from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. She also attended Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School, where she studied Mathematics and Computer Science. Smita's tech stack includes search and research scientist skills, which she has acquired through her experience in talent acquisition. She is passionate about finding and recruiting top talents for companies and is known for her excellent stakeholder management skills.
