Snehil Vijay is a highly self-driven and enthusiastic software engineer with a keen inclination towards user empathy. With over 5 years of relevant experience, he has worked with top companies like JP Morgan and HSBC, where he has been a top performer. Currently, he is working as a Senior Associate at HSBC, where he is leading all aspects of UI/UX on StratPy web apps starting from user login to apps’ usage. Snehil is a former drone maker and drone pilot who has now transitioned into a software engineer. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Snehil is well-versed in Python, Flask, Web, Jenkins, Microservices, UI, and has a strong technical background. At HSBC, Snehil has worked on designing the new cloud-native architecture in-line with the 12-factor application methodology. He has also created a library based on Flask and Dash with a Plugin Architecture for rapid app development and deployment. Snehil has created libraries with fault tolerance, load balancing, and fail-over for upstream data sources such as KDB and XDS. He has ported Excel/VBA business tools into python libraries improving efficiencies & reducing chances of operational errors. Snehil has also developed a highly modular web app based on Plugin Architecture with innovative ways to visualize orderbook data. He has designed the platform’s toolchain using Powershell and bash scripts, poetry for dependency management, etc. Snehil has implemented agile philosophy and associated tools (JIRA) for the management of the project’s book of work. In addition to his work at HSBC, Snehil has also worked as a Summer Intern at Wipro and TestRight Nanosystems. At TestRight Nanosystems, he created a cross-platform desktop application in Python to interface with a nano spectrophotometer device. Snehil is a community developer at Plotly and has a passion for taking up initiatives. He has won the Team of the Quarter award in 2019 and 2020 and is a highly motivated individual.
