Soham Chatterjee is a highly skilled Machine Learning Lead with over 3 years of experience in researching, building, deploying and maintaining computer vision and NLP products. He is also a course instructor for Udacity's AI for Edge IoT nanodegree, where he teaches how to optimize models for deployment to edge devices. Soham is currently pursuing a Master of Research degree at NTU Singapore, where his research focuses on Edge Computing and Neuromorphic Hardware. He is working on building chips that can run deep learning models while consuming less than 1 mW of power and protecting deep learning hardware from side channel attacks. Previously, Soham worked as a Deep Learning Research Engineer at Saama Technologies, a Pharma IT company. He also served as an Independent Consultant for Saama, where he assisted in developing the company's Virtual Assistant Product and conducted research on adapting Neural Networks for Quantum Computers. Soham has published a paper on using CNNs to beat the State of the Art in detecting diseases based on a person's DNA Methylation Profiles. He has also explored the use of Edge Computing to check product defects in manufacturing lines and supported the development of Saama's Virtual Assistant Product. Soham's education background includes a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He possesses excellent technical skills and has experience in research, deep learning, machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision, natural language processing, and neural networks.
