Sohom Chakraborty is a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for developing better technology. He is a performance-driven self-starter with strong organizational and analytical skills, and a team player who takes pride in his problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Sohom is presently working on optimizing audio solutions in Galaxy Buds and is open to relocating to the USA and EMEA regions for in-person opportunities. Sohom graduated with Electrical Engineering Honors, along with additional courses taken in Computer Science, from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2019. During his undergraduate years, he pursued multiple courses in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Mathematics. He was particularly interested in Machine Learning, Probability, Statistics, and Linear Algebra. Sohom was placed in the top 4% of all students across all disciplines in the first year of his Bachelor's degree at IIT KGP and pursued a Minor in computer science. During his undergraduate studies, Sohom pursued research in Signal Processing on HyperSpectral Images, which led to the publication of two co-authored conference papers and one co-authored journal paper. Sohom attempted CAT in 2018 (to benchmark his quantitative aptitude skills) and secured 99.6 percentile among 2,50,000 candidates. Sohom's tech stack includes Software Engineering, AI, Tensorflow, Research Scientist, ML, Python, Java, Mobile, Amazon Athena, Data Scientist, SQL, language models, test, MongoDB, Search, and Pytorch. He has relevant experience of 4.78 years and has completed relevant MOOC certifications, including the TensorFlow Developer Professional Certificate, TensorFlow: Data and Deployment Specialization, TensorFlow: Advanced Techniques Specialization, and AI for Medicine Specialization by Deeplearning.ai. Sohom has worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Research and Development Engineer at Samsung in the past. He prefers exploring new avenues rather than trying to stick to his comfort zone, which gives him an edge over others to achieve his ambitious goals.
