Somashekhar H is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 11 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working at Flipkart as a Software Engineer, where he has been involved in several projects, including RRR (Return, Refunds and Replacement) and Planning. In the RRR project, he suggested product enhancements to the product management and engineering team based on customer feedback. He was also involved in the development of various modules, did GST changes, and wrote API's and services. Furthermore, he wrote scripts to automate tasks and developed internal tools that give better visibility to stakeholders. In the Services for Large Products project, Somashekhar developed an internal tool called Service Desk that gives better visibility of entities to end-users. He also developed an internal web application app using Sinatra, where end-users can raise events from the UI. Additionally, he automated many things wherever required and was proactively involved in daily on-call mails and involved in the resolution for the same. Somashekhar has also worked on Planning with a team of 3 members, where they developed a Supply Planning application that helps business teams to generate various plans based on historical data. He always follows best practices in software development and documentation and partners with the Product Manager and EM in the analysis and estimation of future work. Besides his work in development, fixing production issues, and automating processes, Somashekhar has also been exposed to different areas at Flipkart. He has experience in taking a backup of DB, archival of DB, and involved in sharding. He was also able to do Master-slave switch, capacity planning, QPS check during Big Billion Days, setting Nagios alerts, setting Cosmos alerts, Debian updates, and Docker image creation. He has worked with architecture to understand better design. Somashekhar has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Gulbarga University and is well-versed in various technologies such as Docker, Python, Ruby, Java, Ansible, MySQL, and Jenkins. He is a team player and has collaborated with different teams like Order management, Logistics, Promise, Warehouse, Jeeves, Accounting, etc. He has also worked in Infosys as a Senior Process Executive, where he worked in Bescom and Apple projects.
