Somesh Singh is a Head of Engineering at Tokopedia with over 9 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working on optimizing statistical analysis, affiliate experience, and adding innovation engineering using AI to enhance product performance and user experience. He has expertise in developing scalable, federated microservice-based applications using Golang, Python, nodeJS on any cloud infrastructure. He is also familiar with technologies and tools such as Django, Tornado, Git, jQuery, RabbitMQ, nsq, Jenkins, Consul, Circleci, WordPress, gql, grpc, lua, and many more. Somesh has co-founded a startup on Renewable Energy using Solar Panels, mainly dealing with household services. He has previously worked as an Engineering Manager at Tokopedia, where he worked with the Category and Browse team to make Tokopedia a market leader in Every Physical Goods Category by providing appropriate product varieties with enhanced user experience. He has also built the statistics platform using Airflow and Bigtable with the help of some great engineers to provide keystone metrics to merchants. Somesh has a Master of Business Administration - MBA- Executive from faculty of management studies (fms) and a Public Policy Programme for Executives from rashtram school of public leadership. He also holds a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur.
