Somi Prakash Biswas is an experienced Site Reliability Engineer II at Flipkart, with a strong background in Backend Development, AWS, Google Cloud, Python, and Embedded C++. He has a Dual Degree in Master of Technology and Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. With over 4 years of relevant experience, Somi has a proven track record of working in the information technology and services industry. He has worked with several companies, including Innovaccer and IIT Kharagpur, where he contributed to various projects such as designing a centralized user access management system and developing Elasticsearch and Greenplum-Redshift database migration pipeline. He also designed a pipeline monitoring system for near real-time analysis using the Logstash-InfluxDB-Grafana stack. At IIT Kharagpur, Somi designed an end-to-end embedded hardware system based on a 24 GHz Doppler Radar to capture human motion data for further frequency-based analysis. He developed C++ based firmware for the system and a python script to process raw IQ data, convert time series data to space domain data, and classify data using convolutional neural networks to detect human movements.
