Somik Datta is a highly skilled Software Engineer with 2.19 years of relevant experience in building robust full stack JavaScript applications using React, Angular, Express (Node.js), Java or Python. He is currently working as a Summer Trainee at Webskitters Technology Solutions, where he has been using Angular as a framework to learn MVC patterns, routing, guarding routes, scale-able code patterns, RxJS (Observable, Pipes, Subject). He has developed a project and received the best project award among a dozen other trainees. Previously, Somik has worked as a Web Developer at Chargeit Technologies, where he developed the registration, login and account management screens and flows against a RESTful API that returned a JSON payload. He also integrated social logins (e.g. Facebook, Google) and Google Maps to display all the Electric Vehicle charging stations near a user and display more information about a particular station upon requirement, also against a RESTful API that returned a JSON payload. He has also worked as a Product Developer at Seat Eats, where he worked on integrating Stripe on E-Commerce platform of Seat Eats by writing backend for payments processing, traffic control, inventory management and refund processing which is consumed by cross platform applications. He built robust UI for customer facing application and internal applications using Angular, Node, Firebase Functions, Firebase Realtime Database, Stripe. Somik holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology.
