Somil Kumar is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the industry. He is a results-driven, front-end engineer with expertise in both desktop and mobile applications. Currently, he is working at almanac as a Senior Software Engineer. Somil has a strong background in developing web interfaces for various finance and government clients. He has also worked with an internal team to propose multiple proofs of concepts for sports tech startup companies. Additionally, he has engaged in the development of applications for a municipality office using Outsystems, a no-code application development platform. Prior to his current role, Somil worked at lumen5 as a Principal Frontend Engineer. During his tenure there, he revamped the onboarding experience for new users in collaboration with the product team. He also refined the user journey by delivering various delightful features like User Avatar Visibility, Ability to upload folders, tagging uploaded files with helpful information, and Categorizing projects via icons and colours. Somil contributed to the full stack of the application from writing Django APIs to react user interfaces.
