Somit Mittal is an experienced Software Development Engineer with a passion for building innovative products. With over 4 years of experience in the industry, he has worked with some of the biggest names in the tech world such as Paytm, Samsung R&D, and Inmobi. Currently, he is working as an SDE2 at Fabric, where he is building a Spark product from scratch. The product is designed to onboard customers in a matter of minutes, rather than hours, and provide them with the tools to self-onboard in the future. Somit has a strong technical background and is proficient in a wide range of technologies, including Kotlin, Micronaut, and DynamoDB. He has experience working with Python, Django, and MySQL, and has even worked on optimizing a procured cars query from 30 seconds to just 1 second (a 3000% improvement) while working at Spinny. Somit is an alumnus of iiitm, where he completed an Integrated Bachelors and Masters Program in Information Technology. He also holds a Senior School degree from Ran Public School and a High School degree from Sherwood College. As a software engineer, Somit is highly skilled in Spark, Python, NLP, Kotlin, MySQL, Spring Boot, Spring, and Flask.
