Somnath is a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for using software to solve practical problems at scale. He is a problem solver who believes in innovative ideas with execution at scale to transform and improve the lives of people around the world. With 6.21 years of relevant experience, Somnath has been expanding his work as a software engineer ever since he graduated. Currently, Somnath is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Traveloka, where he has been implementing backend APIs and microservices into the hotel booking flow. He has also been using data to implement machine learning pipelines to bring customer-centric features to life. Somnath has been focusing on service scalability, availability, reliability, efficiency, and maintenance to ensure that the system runs smoothly. In addition to his work at Traveloka, Somnath has been working on an android app for the Government of India to replicate Trace Together of Singapore. He finds a beautiful crossover between software development and real-life problems, and both pursuits challenge his creativity, organization, sequential processing, and problem-solving skills. Somnath's skills and interests include Java, Python, Go, OOD, TDD, SQL/NoSQL, Cache, APIs, Micro Services, Android, and Machine Learning. He has worked on various projects, including partner integration to expand inventories in microservices architecture for scalable and sticky bookings for accommodation products. He has also worked on Named Entity Recognition using Neural Network on Real Documents (Resume, Invoices, etc.) in a web microservice architecture. Somnath is a graduate of Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, where he earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) and Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering. He also has a Joint Entrance Exam degree from Vibrant Academy and a Higher Secondary School Certificate from MP Board of Secondary Education.
