Somnath Pal is a seasoned Site Reliability Engineering Manager with over 16 years of relevant experience. He is currently working at LinkedIn, leading SRE teams responsible for ensuring site up of business-critical analytics and analytics tools/platforms that help explore, process, and deliver data. Somnath is a student at heart, always hungry for the scope of betterment in every day-to-day job. He has a strong sense of anticipating and expertise in building customer use cases. He has seasoned experience in design, development, and managing software development in different areas, including Support automation, Enterprise Cloud Analytics, Big data analysis, Network/system management. Prior to his current role, Somnath has worked with Informatica as an Application Development Manager in the GCS Automation Team, Support Automation, and with IBM India Software & Technology Lab (STG) as a Staff Software Engineer. At IBM, he led the development of IBM Smart Analytic System (ISAS) and Work Flow Manager Framework, among other projects. Somnath holds an EMDP in Project Management for Senior Professionals from XLRI and a BE in Computer Science from Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College. He completed his 12th standard from Bidhan Chandra Institution for Boys, WBCHSE, and his 10th standard from D.V.C.D.T.P.S.H.S. WBBSE board, both in Science.
