Somrik Banerjee is a Senior Analyst at Novartis with a passion for data science and a desire to learn more. With over four years of experience in the field, he has proven expertise in building OLAP pipelines, developing interactive Power BI dashboards, and building and maintaining ML models. Currently, Somrik is focused on developing domain expertise in pharmaceuticals and healthcare. Somrik's current project involves building MATCh, an omnichannel recommender system for HCP promotions, with a specific focus on generating promo recommendations for the Entresto brand in the US Pharma space. Prior to joining Novartis, Somrik worked as a Data Science Analyst at Accenture, where he supported the Responsible AI practice by analyzing and ensuring fairness, transparency, robustness, explainability, and compliance to existing ethical guidelines in various AI models across projects. He also provided technical support in various forecasting models, spatial and network analysis, and text analytics/NLP based solutions involving fuzzy matching, clustering, and classification models for a large APAC client while working as a Consultant at Fractal Analytics. Somrik's educational background includes a Master's degree in Computer Applications from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, formerly WBUT, and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Calcutta. He also completed his high school education at South Point High School, Kolkata, where he studied PCM + Optional Elective Statistics. Somrik has a strong technical skill set, including expertise in ML, AI, SQL, Scikit, Python, Pandas, Databricks, NLP, and Big Data.
