Somya is a highly experienced technical leader with over 18 years of experience in architecting and leading teams to build software solutions for Cloud, Mobile, Web, and Desktop. Currently, she is the Managing Partner at SWARM, where she has worn multiple hats including strategy, business development, architect, project manager, and engineering manager to turn SWARM into one of the leading digital agencies in NYC. Under her leadership, SWARM has achieved numerous accolades, including the #1 app for OTT (AppleTV) and the Devie award winner in 2018. Prior to her current role, Somya worked as a Mobile Application Developer at CBS Interactive, where she developed CBS Fantasy Sports for Android and Windows, both of which were featured in stores. She also developed official college sports apps for OSU, Penn, Alabama, and 30+ other schools, all of which were rated 4+ stars (iOS & Android). She also worked as a Mobile Software Developer at Time, where she developed Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2012, which made it into the Top 10 apps in the US Apple Store, and People CelebWatch (Android). Somya holds a degree from UNSW and has a TechStack that includes Senior Software Engineer, Mobile, Android, Web, iOS, Docker, Keras, Tensorflow, and Pytorch. With a relevant experience of 20.95 years, Somya has proven her ability to lead teams and deliver successful projects. She is a technical leader who is passionate about building software solutions that solve real-world problems.
