Somya Sinha is a seasoned professional with over 11 years of experience in strategy, monetization, and project management. Currently, she works as the Lead for Monetization Strategy at ByteDance for the METAP region. In her current role, Somya is responsible for leading the go-to-market strategy for Tiktok monetization in the region, including market research, revenue planning, operating model design, and project management for cross-functional initiatives. Prior to this, Somya worked as a Monetization Strategist for ByteDance in India, where she helped define and execute the go-to-market strategy for ByteDance advertising sales business in India, across Tiktok and Helo. Before joining ByteDance, Somya worked at Viacom18 as a Sr. Manager for Growth & Innovation, Digital Ventures (Voot). In this role, she led the end-to-end design and implementation of Salesforce CRM system and onboarded a 20-member ad sales team at Voot. She also analyzed the top reasons for user churn and led project management for cross-functional initiatives to reduce churn. Somya also prioritized content genres to drive growth across viewership and sponsorship sales. Somya holds a PGDM degree in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. She also completed a summer internship at Ecole Centrale de Lille. Somya's tech stack includes research scientist and Salesforce.
