Sonal Chandani is an experienced Full-stack Developer with a passion for DevOps work and improving female representation in the tech industry. With over 11 years of relevant experience, she is currently working as an Application Developer at ThoughtWorks. Her expertise lies in developing and managing both backend and frontend services using Agile practices. Sonal has hands-on experience in handling production deployments and managing the infrastructure of applications. She is keen on sharing her knowledge with other tech enthusiasts and does so by organizing and presenting GeekNights, a ThoughtWorks initiative. Additionally, she contributes to programs such as WomenWhoCode, WomenInTech, and CodeHer to improve female representation in the tech industry. Sonal's previous experience includes working at ThoughtWorks, where she developed a microservice, micro-frontend based web portal for assisting sales representatives to manage customers. She also integrated with multiple data sources and designed a pub-sub based mechanism for ensuring data synchronization. Sonal made the application GDPR compliant using technologies such as Clojure, React, GoCD, Openshift, Kibana, Jira, Docker, Postgres, RabbitMQ, and PagerDuty. She also worked on OpenPay, an application to integrate all payment providers. Sonal developed the backend of the card payment interface (supported VISA and MasterCards) and Unified Payment Interface (UPI) as well as the frontend for the aggregator using React.js and Redux. She set up the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environments using Java 8, Postgres, React, Redux, Heroku. Sonal holds a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from SRM University, where she graduated in 2016. She also attended Stella Maris Inter College.
