Sonal Sharma is a Senior Data Engineer with a passion for leveraging data to drive business growth. With a Master's degree in Information Systems from New York University, she has developed both technical and business acumen, which has helped her to build data pipelines, optimize budgets and campaign allocations, and provide key visibility into organizational KPIs. Currently, Sonal is an Assistant Vice President (Data Engineer) at Citi Ventures Studio, where she sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and leadership. She plays a key role in informing, influencing, and executing best practices for the Product and Marketing teams, focusing on building scalable and fault-tolerant data pipelines to maximize the capability of extracting data and making it usable. Sonal's expertise in data engineering, data science, marketing analytics, cloud services, big data, visualizations, Python, and SQL has been honed over 3.60 years of relevant experience. Her work has helped organizations anticipate customer needs and provide architectural solutions to drive growth. In addition to her work at Citi, Sonal has also served as a Graduate Teaching Fellow at NYU Stern School of Business, where she taught courses on consumer behavior, data-driven decision making, and IT in business and society.
