Currently, Sonali Kamat is the Director of Engineering at Facebook Reality Labs, where she is building the ARVR data platform and a high-fidelity simulation of the metaverse using real and synthesized data. She has also led a number of innovative bets at Messenger toward seamless connectivity cross app and network and has managed Payments and Messaging Commerce strategy and product across Facebook's family of apps including FB App, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp. In her past roles, Sonali was the Vice President of Engineering at Flipkart, where she was responsible for Search, Recommendations, and Merchandising. She also seeded and scaled Mobile from 0 to $200M revenue + 1 million active users within < 1 year and took the iOS app to #2 rank on Apple App Store. Sonali has also worked as a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, where she was responsible for the Middle Office and Client Assets Technology systems.
