Currently, Sonam is working on advancing Deep Learning applications for Ranking and Relevance in Microsoft Ads. She is leading efforts for query understanding, generative modeling, and syndication relevance, and is building and leveraging SOTA models to improve relevance for Microsoft Ads. She has a strong tech stack, including experience with Research Scientist, AI, Deep Learning, Search, Web, NLP, ML, Azure, BERT, and GAN. Sonam has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from manit. She has worked at Microsoft for several years, starting as an Applied Scientist II before moving up to her current role as Senior Applied Scientist. She has been recognized for her innovative solutions, receiving the "Excellence Award for Innovation" for her work on QnAMaker and FAQ Answering.
