Sonia Mehrotra is an accomplished educator, researcher and case study mentor with over 22 years of relevant experience. She is currently working as a Professor and Head of the Centre of Excellence for Case Development at S.P. Mandali's Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research. Her expertise lies in developing management case studies from emerging economies, which have been published at international publishing houses such as Harvard Publishing, Ivey Publishing, Emerald Publishing, Globalens, and Michigan University. Sonia has a strong research interest in emerging markets, work-life balance, and family businesses. She has completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration and Management from Alagappa University, Alagappa Nagar, Karaikudi in 2012. Prior to that, she completed her Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Business Administration and Management from the same university in 2009. She also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Bangalore University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Assam Engineering College. Apart from her academic achievements, Sonia has also worked as a Senior Engineer at Engineer India Limited, where she was responsible for various projects related to oil and gas processing facilities. She has also completed an Educator Entrepreneurs Development Course from the Indian School of Business (ISB) in 2007. Sonia's technical expertise includes her role as a Research Scientist. She has a proven track record of identifying interesting case leads and connecting with various corporates to develop management case studies. Her past experiences have given her the ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
