Sonia Yadav is an experienced Head of QA Practice at Centric Consulting with over 15 years of relevant experience in technology delivery and operations. She specializes in applying lean-agile principles, DevOps automation, and Cloud platforms to accelerate application modernization and delivery. Sonia is responsible for managing the QA team and POCs on multiple cutting-edge technologies, ensuring overall QA verification and validation, automation framework, and manual workflows, and innovation within different QA frameworks. In her current role, Sonia leads the QA practice by formulating strategic planning, process management, resource optimization, and quality assurance at the organization level. She creates best practices, standards, and templates across different tools and testing approaches to be adopted. She manages the delivery portfolio of projects in the practice with high client satisfaction and quality in a timely manner. Sonia also ensures adequate oversight and successful delivery across Centric clients, projects, and programs across the practice, including functioning in an oversight, delivery, and/or subject matter expert (SME) role when necessary. Sonia provides technical expertise in test automation, testing methodologies, testing processes, testing framework, tools, and techniques across the teams. She ensures that the QA teams adhere to the principles, guidelines, and best practices of the QA strategy as defined. She upgrades and upscales the QA team capabilities on cutting-edge technologies, tools, and processes. Sonia is also responsible for career development and people management of the team members. Apart from these, Sonia actively participates in the leadership and takes ownership of team financial goals. She meets the revenue targets and operating margin for the QA practice. She closely coordinates and collaborates with the Modern software delivery group and is involved in RFPs, business development, and pre-sales activities for new business growth. Sonia is also responsible for staffing, recruitment, allocation, utilization, retention, and performance management of QA teams. Sonia has a deep understanding of different test automation approaches (Keyword-driven, Data-driven, BDD, hybrid) and technology stacks (Java, C#, Ruby, .NET, JavaScript, Python, etc.). She is a Microsoft Certified Professional and ISTQB Certified. Sonia has previously worked with companies like GlobalLogic and Genpact, where she was responsible for automation testing framework design & development, BDD, Selenium, Cucumber, API Automation, Coded UI, VSTS, White Box Testing, Mobile Automation, etc. Sonia holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Maharshi Dayanand University
