Sonika Agrawal is a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer currently working at Facebook. With nearly 7 years of experience in the field, Sonika has a deep understanding of software development and is well-versed in a range of programming languages including NodeJS, .NET, Python, and Java. Prior to her current role at Facebook, Sonika worked as a Platform Engineer at Directi where she was a part of the anti-spam team at Media.net. Her work involved click fraud detection in internet advertising and she was responsible for developing several key projects including a crowd-sourced fraud detection system, a user agent parser, and an association rules mining framework. Sonika used a range of technologies including Node JS, MongoDB, Java, Python, Numpy, Pandas, and Scipy to deliver these projects successfully. Sonika has also worked as a Research Intern at the University of British Columbia's Electrical and Computer Engineering department where she tested and analyzed algorithms for diagnosis of HVAC systems of smart buildings. She modified a full building energy consumption simulator EnergyPlus using C++ to generate test data and identified the limitations of the algorithm which would enable defining its domain of application. Sonika holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur.
