Sonu Kumar is a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with over 10 years of relevant experience in automation, functional, non-functional (performance), backend API, and DevOps testing. He is currently working as a QA DevOps Engineer for Finance and Payments at A.P. Moller - Maersk. Sonu has expertise in creating a framework from scratch and automating test cases using Selenium Webdriver with Java language binding, Cucumber - Behaviour Driven Development. He has also developed API frameworks using Rest Assured, Postman, and Ready API (Soapui Pro). He is skilled in component, integration, end-to-end, and system testing using Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, TestNG, Junit, and Gherkins. Sonu is proficient in several programming/scripting languages such as Core Java, Groovy, VB Script, and Javascript. He has experience working with several defect tracking tools such as JIRA(X-Ray), Qtest, TFS/MTM, HP ALM, and Azure DevOps. He has also worked with various CI tools such as Jenkins, GitHub actions, and Azure DevOps, build tools such as Maven and Gradle, and version control tools such as Bit Bucket, GIT, GITHUB, and subversion. Sonu has experience working with different operating systems such as Windows 10/7, Mac OS, UNIX, and Linux, and databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL. He has also worked with cross-browser platforms such as Browser Stack and Sauce lab, DBA tools such as SQL Developer, Putty, and Toad, and integration engines such as Rhapsody 6.2.2 in the healthcare industry. He is also familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS (S3 bucket, EC2) and Microsoft Azure. Sonu has worked with Philips in the past as a Technical Specialist for Testing Interoperability and as a Senior Software Engineer for Testing Digital Platform. He has a B.Tech degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology, and Research Academy.
