Sonveer Narwaria is an experienced Software Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the internet industry. He has a strong engineering background with a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) focused in Computer Science from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology. Currently working as an SDE-II at Groupon, Sonveer is responsible for payments powered by Groupon’s Global Payment Platform (GPP). He is working on a payment analytics pipeline to push data from SQL-Slave to Teradata and has developed a system to manage payment compliances for deletion of expired cards from the system with controlled RPM. He has also migrated the services database (SQL) from on-prem to cloud (AWS) for three services. Prior to Groupon, Sonveer worked as an SDE at Flipkart, where he was responsible for providing more profit to sellers. He worked on a data propagation pipeline for the availability of Flipkart in multiple DCs, real-time dynamic pricing ad system, and designed and implemented a sub-system with single source (Kafka) and multi-sink architecture (Redis, couch base, MySQL) with high availability requirements. He was also the winner of the FLIPKART M3 Hackathon business category. As a Software Engineer at Ola, Sonveer worked on several projects for the Ola Play division, responsible for bringing infotainment systems within the cars of partnered drivers. He worked on a location service for Foodpanda, an ML-model serving pipeline for Ola-play, and developed an intermediate pipeline for upgrading and downgrading cabs to Prime-Play or Sedan. He also mentored an intern for a project in the field of big data for finding road conditions and identifying the behavior of drivers. Sonveer has a diverse tech stack, including SQL, Java, AWS, Big Data, Redis, MySQL, Kafka, ML, Search, test, Spark, NoSQL, Python, and Scala.
