Sooraj Sanker is a highly experienced engineer currently working at Hasura, where he is building DB Lens. With over 7 years of relevant experience, Sooraj has a proven track record of being a serial student entrepreneur with a passion for web performance. He has a diverse skill set, ranging from entrepreneurship to core development, architecture, delivery management, and client relationships. In recent years, Sooraj has focused on modern front-end development, dev-tools, GraphQL, and data access techniques. He has played a key role as a core development/architecture member for a world-leading IoT platform, where he was responsible for collecting requirements directly from stakeholders, solution architecture, leading development, product roadmap discussions, and analytics. Sooraj has also mentored an agile team of 40 members on React JS, responsive web applications, cross-platform enterprise mobile applications, big data analytics, message queueing, IoT security, and scalability. He founded and scaled a SAAS media startup from zero users to two hundred thousand users and 200 media partners. Sooraj is an active contributor to various open-source initiatives and has developed, published, and marketed a portfolio of Android apps, with a combined global user base of half a million. Sooraj has also worked as a lead for IoT, web, and mobility solutions at ITC, where he was responsible for leading the development of a cloud IoT platform with ~20 developers. He provided technical architecture expertise and solution design guidance across various projects and worked with stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables, and milestones. As a senior software engineer for enterprise mobility at Intign Analytics, Sooraj designed and developed an automated home services platform and an online job portal with 3 web apps. He developed an intelligent job targeting and user monitoring algorithm that analyzes and suggests jobs or seekers based on the user and automated requests lifecycle with microservices. Sooraj holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Anna University.
