Souma Paul is a highly motivated software engineer with over 8 years of relevant experience in the software industry. Currently, he is working as a Member of Technical Staff at VMware, where he is responsible for developing a Test Automation Framework for iOS/Android Apps. Souma is proficient in writing automated tests in Swift XCUI Test, planning test cases for various test strategies, coordinating release processes, and bug fixes and feature developments. Prior to joining VMware, Souma worked as a Software Development Engineer in Test at Intel, where he performed code reviews, developed automation frameworks, and worked with object-oriented programming using C++ and C programming. He also has experience in Agile Scrum, debugging using GDB and valgrind, and testing technologies such as performance testing, automation, regression, load testing, soak, fuzz, and concurrency testing. Souma has also worked with technologies such as Shell Scripting, Python Scripting, Linux OS, Bugzilla, Cloud Server, Restful API services, and Transport layer, Session Layer, and Application Layer Protocol Stack. Before Intel, Souma worked as a Software Trainee Engineer at Altisource, where he was responsible for debugging Java applications, reporting bugs in production, and release and deployment activities. He also has experience with technologies such as Java Web Services, Apache Tomcat, Jira, Agile Scrum, and Apache Selenium. Souma holds a Master of Computer Application degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Kristu Jayanti College of Management and Tech, where he also earned his Bachelor's degree in Computer Application.
