Soumi Chakraborty is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science Engineering with Engineering Science at IIT Hyderabad. With a keen interest in computer vision and computational photography algorithms, Soumi has spent more than a year working with these technologies. Her expertise lies in video stitching and stabilization algorithms, and she is currently working on human pose estimation and building a dataset for the same. Soumi has some experience with web development and has worked on multiple projects as a hobby and as an SDE intern. She is currently working as a Software Developer Intern at datoms, where she has built spatial interpolation models on Google Maps to visualize environmental data and aid the creation of smart cities in India. She used the Google Maps API and ReactJS to build the application from scratch. In the past, Soumi has worked as a Litr Coordinator at elan & ηvision, IIT Hyderabad, where she managed 1500+ participants for the OTH Cryptex event and led a team of 35. She was in charge of organizing, marketing, and a budget of INR 30,000. She has also worked as a Student Mentor at Sunshine - IITH. Soumi is well-versed in a range of technologies, including software engineering, research science, infra, web development, computer vision, and ReactJS. She has 1.60 years of relevant experience and is expected to complete her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering and Engineering Science from IIT Hyderabad in December 2023.
