Soumik De is a data analyst with a passion for using data to drive change and accelerate decision-making processes. With a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Calcutta and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Soumik has over 4 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently working as a Data Analyst at TCS, Soumik is responsible for the continuous development of dashboards for a pharmaceutical company. He has delivered 2 NLP use cases for text classification that are being used to classify user responses. Soumik has also developed production code for data extraction from JIRA Service Desk that integrates Python, Alteryx, and Tableau. He has deployed a solution that uses Sharepoint API to augment the capabilities of Alteryx for data extraction and has deployed 6+ Tableau workbooks that are currently being used by decision-makers to gain insights. Soumik has automated a process that used to take 2 days before to now take only 2 hours. In his previous engagements, Soumik has worked on creating a Tweet Classification Algorithm to detect traffic and worked on increasing traffic and optimizing websites using Google Analytics. He has also gained valuable experience designing a Home Automation Solution from the ground up. Soumik's tech stack includes Python, Machine Learning, Text Classification, NLP, Web, and Frontend. He has also worked on projects ranging from IoT to web development during his internships at Insanalytics and Infinite Computer Solutions. Curious since birth, Soumik has always wanted to get to the bottom of how everything worked. He is passionate about helping decision-makers drive change backed by data and keeps feeding his continuous urge to learn.
